Veterinarian – Justin Cupka
Dr. Cupka grew up on the East Coast and graduated from Unity College in Maine with a degree in Captive Wildlife Care and Education, focusing on wildlife and zoo medicine. He moved across the country to attend the University of California Davis, where he earned a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. His focus remained on zoo, exotic, and wildlife medicine, and he began practicing small animal and exotic medicine after graduation. Dr. Cupka’s interests lie in reptiles, conservation medicine, and behavior. Outside of the hospital, his hobbies vary, ranging from dancing to martial arts to gardening. At home, he keeps several breeding pairs of snakes, an Argentine black and white tegu, and a Doberman mix named Tonks, who is a frequent visitor to the hospital.
