Surgery

We are a full service hospital with state-of-the-art equipment for surgery and patient monitoring. Most surgeries your pet may need can be performed at our facility. Occasionally a pet has a special need and a certified veterinary surgeon is consulted.

Surgery - Any surgery, including neuters or spays, require a current exam and bloodwork. If your pet does not have a current exam please contact us to make an exam appointment. At that time we can assess your pet and discuss surgery. We understand having any surgery or anesthetic procedure done on your pet can be nerve wrecking. The following is information on what you can expect.

The day before the procedure we will give you a call with pre-anesthetic instructions, such as when to take away food/water and what time to drop off your pet. The standard drop off time is 9:00 am on the day of the procedure. We will keep your pet here to monitor and make sure they recover well from anesthesia until pick up which is approximately 5:00 pm depending on the day's schedule. At that time we will go over discharge instructions, answer any questions you have, and make sure you know what to expect and how to care for your pet while they continue recovering at home. The following day we will give you a call to check in and make sure your pet is doing well and answer any questions you may have encountered. We try to make the experience as easy and stress-free as possible for you and your pet.
